The process of designing and building public works in New York City impacts New Yorkers throughout their life cycle: not only when they are complete, but also during planning, design, and construction. The NYC Capital Process Reform Task Force includes industry experts and agency leaders working together to address every phase of the delivery process, from planning and procurement to construction and closeout.

This program will explain NYC’s capital process reform initiatives, in dialogue with city officials, architects, and industry professionals committed to designing and building better public projects. Many of these changes are at the city level, but the most impactful require state legislation. In this event, there will be a deep dive into the modernization efforts at each phase of work as well as how these initiatives can reduce barriers for entry within the design and construction industry.
