Our Mission is simple ...
We want to create new middle-class jobs and business growth demonstrating how the U.S. can tap into the drastically under-utilized knowledge assets of traditionally overlooked diverse talent (of all ages) and older, very experienced talent (Third Quarters) - while simultaneously helping to conserve our country's precious energy resources.
Sound crazy? We don't think so. Support Us!
Our Story
3Q Innovation's story began long before the organization formed in 2013. It started when the first U.S. baby boomers began transitioning out of traditional work environments. As demand for new models of employment for highly knowledgeable & experienced workers grew, 3Q Innovation formalized its economic development programs & launched in NYC.
Those We Serve
One of the most valuable knowledge assets of the U.S. economy is the worker pool aged 50-75 (who are healthy, very active, and living into their 90s). However, due to widespread cultural age discrimination and a lack of innovative employment opportunities, this group is routinely 'right-sized' out of traditional work environments once they approach age 50 - even though they are top performers.
The economic impact of healthy, experienced U.S. workers transitioning involuntarily out of the workforce is proving devastating to the U.S. economy. 3Q Innovation wants to radically slow or stop this knowledge asset drain. And that's why we chose Third Quarters as our first, primary constituency.
Our work with experienced workers also underscored the need for robust diverse talent pipeline programs for younger workers. Once 3Q Innovation successfully got Third Quarters recognized within the U.S. workforce lexicon, we turned our attention to other, at-risk | under-served worker groups. Now we serve both constituencies.
Our Name
Reflects the chronological age bracket (third quarter) in which our original primary constituents fall ... and which ALL workforce talent will eventually age into over time. Continuing to develop third and fourth quarter WF engagement options is essential for the U.S. economy, employers, communities, and YOU!
Program Focus
Our programs are specifically designed to meet the research, education, and development requirements needed for job creation and new product | business growth in the clean energy | energy efficiency sectors for the built environment.
(Although 3Q Innovation's programs are open to all, we focus first on the needs of under-served diverse talent and Third Quarters experiencing economic vulnerability due to un/under-employment.)
