Kathy Ortiz, Advisor

Ms. Kathy Ortiz is a results-oriented, business-focused technology executive with twenty-five years’ financial services experience in global IT security, audit, risk and control. Kathy has a demonstrated track record in successfully managing audit, regulatory and compliance, as well as IT security issues and activity with a proven ability to work across both solos and functional groups. Currently serving as a Senior Vice President in AIG’s Global Infrastructure Utility program, Kathy is project manager for the Workforce component of the GIU (centrally managed data centers) program, overseeing workforce planning, benefits tracking, project planning and coordination with Human Resources and Finance. She has also worked on global data privacy and residency issues, payment card industry (PCI) data security requirements, and developed the initial strategy and plan for anticipated Federal Reserve regulatory readiness for the AIG Global Services (AIGGS) infrastructure function.

Prior to her work in Global Services, Kathy was the Head of Global Information Security and Compliance for AIG. She served as the executive responsible for the IT-based security, risk and compliance function within AIG’s Corporate Operations & Systems (O&S) organization. In this capacity, Kathy drove development of the IT security framework for divestment and separation activity across AIG, which included establishing guiding principles and governance/review processes and the development of an O&S Review Board (which she leads) that reviews divesting business unit plans for technology separation.

Before joining AIG, Kathy was a Managing Director at JPMorganChase overseeing both global IT risk governance and global IT risk and control activities which included global audit compliance. In addition to her financial firm experience, Kathy also has an extensive background in consulting that includes partner level positions at Protiviti, Inc and Arthur Andersen, LLP where her focus was on Technology Risk Management for the financial services industry.

Kathy holds CPA and CISA certification and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Administration, with a major in accounting, from Drexel University.
