Harvard Climate Action Week

Wednesday, June 12, 2024

Despite substantial efforts by the public and private sectors and increasing investments in technology, the United States is not on track to meet its commitments under the Paris Climate Agreement. What policies, private actions, and leadership are needed to drive further reductions in U.S. greenhouse gas emissions?

The second annual Harvard Climate Action Week, hosted by the Climate Action Accelerator at the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University, will encompass five days of events specifically engaging this question.

June 10-11, experts from academia, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and civil society will discuss what steps are politically viable, economically desirable, able to scale widely, and durable for the short-, medium-, and long-term. June 12-14 sessions will dive deeper into solutions-oriented research.
