Concrete Ways to Capture Carbon
Concrete is the most commonly used building material in the world, and the second most used substance after water. Its central ingredient, Portland cement, is a leading source of global industrial emissions—and demand for cement is on track to grow 23 percent by 2050. However, through multiple processes and technological breakthroughs, concrete also has the extraordinary potential to store carbon in mineral form, locking away emissions that would otherwise end up in the atmosphere.
Join Urban Green Council as they host a panel of experts discussing pioneering carbon capture and utilization (CCU) in the cement and concrete sectors.
